Sunday, 16th October, Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg was joined by Prime Minister Xavier Bettel to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the first deportation of Jews from the Grand Duchy during the Second World War.The commemoration was held behind the city’s central train station where, 75 years earlier, 323 Jews were rounded up by the Gestapo for transportation to the Łódź Ghetto in Poland. This was the first of seven deportations in Luxembourg, occurring between October 1941 and June 1943.




 
U nedjelju 16. listopada  je veliki Vojvoda (Grand Duke) Henry of Luxemburg , u pratnji premijera Xaviera Bettela,  komemorirao 75-godišnjicu prve deportacije Židova u II. svjetskom ratu. Komemoracija je održana iza gradske centralne željezničke stanice sa koje su 323 Židova bila od  Gestapa   transportirana u Lodz geto u Poljaskoj. To je bila prva od sedam deportacija u Luksemburgu , između 1941 i 1943. samo je 12 njih preživjelo, procjenjuje se da je 3.500 Židova u Luksemburgu samo 36 preživjelo. Na ceremoniji je najavljena  2018 gradnja spomenika žrtvama, na mjestu prve sinagoge.Čitana su imena žrtava i bio je susret s obitejima žrtava.
