Preservers of Holocaust memory Serge and Beate Klarsfeld honoured by French president
Serge and Beate Klarsfeld, who have dedicated their lives to tracking Nazi war criminals and to the preservation of the memory of the Holocaust, were honoured by French President Emanuel Macron at the Elysée Palace in Paris. Serge Klarsfeld received the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour and Beate Klarsfeld received the National Order of Merit.
Serge i Beate Klarsfeld, koji su posvetili svoj život traženju nacistističkih zločina i čuvanju sjećanja na Holokaust, primili su odlikovanje od francuskog predsjednika Emanuela Macrona. Odlikovanja su primili u Elizejskoj Palači u Parizu i to Serge Klarsfeld :

Serge Klarsfeld je rođen u Rumunjskoj 1935 . odakle je pred Gestapom 1943. pobjegao u Nicu i tamo bio izbjeglica zajedno s roditeljima . Oženio se s Njemicom (protestanticom) Beate Kunzel, koja je tražila odgovornost svoje zemlje za Shoa.
Oni su zajedno više od pola stoljeća katalogizirali povijesne podatke o Holokaustu u Francuskoj i tražili pravdu za nacističke ratne zločince.
