Czech towns remember Holocaust victims
Češki gradovi se sjećaju žrtava Holokausta
The Czech towns of Chrudim and Litomsyl marked the 70th anniversary of the deportation of local Jews during WWII to concentration camps by unveiling monuments to the victims.
Monuments were placed at the towns’ Jewish cemeteries. Among those buried at the Jewish cemetery in Chrudim are the grandparents of former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and relatives of the wife of current US ambassador to the Czech Republic, Norman Eisen
Češki gradovi Chrudum i Litomsyl su otkrili spomenike Židovima-žrtvama u II. svjetskom ratu , označivši tako 70-godišnjicu deportacije lokalnih Židova u koncentracijske logore
.
Spomenici se nalaze u gradskom židovskom groblju. Na groblju u Chrumdimu su pokopani djedovi prijašnjeg US sekretara Madeleine Albright i rođaci supruge sadašnjeg US ambasadora US u Češkoj Normana Eisena.
